Maroon 5, one of the Internet’s leading music sites, announced the nominees Monday for its Second Annual GV Music & Fashion Awards. Voting for the awards will take place at beginning December 14 and the winners will be announced on February 11, 2005. Music fans who log onto from December 14 to February 11, 2005, will be able to vote, in more than 30 categories, for their favorite rock, hip-hop, and pop artists, as well as for their favorite movie soundtrack, deep cuts, and most fashionable artists. “The success of the nomination process last year was very gratifying,” Jackson said. “We expect that success to continue this year. The nominees are a diverse bunch, and the list includes several surprises from lesser-known artists.”

Nominees were chosen from artists whose albums were released from September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2004. Singles released during that time period are eligible, even if the albums from which the song came were not yet released.
