Cause new Britney’s on a mission.

Britney Spears wants more time with her two sons, Sean and Jayden, and is preparing to go to court to make sure that happens.

Us Weekly reports Britney wants the judge to agree to 50-50 custodial time split between her and Kevin Federline. “Britney’s goal in the new year is to go to family court and petition the judge for increased custody time with the boys,” the insider tells Us. “She will have the boys on Christmas Eve, and they will go to their dad’s at some point on Christmas Day.”

As for her relationship with K-Fed, the source says they’re pretty distant apart from “everyday coparenting stuff. They’re cordial but don’t do very much as a family.”

Earlier this year, the judge reduced Britney’s visitation rights following a physical altercation between her father, Jamie, and eldest son Sean. Federline immediately filed a restraining order against Jamie, barring him from have any contact with Sean and Jayden for at least three years. Police did not have enough evidence to file child abuse charges.

“The relationship between Jamie and Britney has completely fallen apart,” the source tells Us. “Britney remains very angry at Jamie because his actions with her kids resulted in losing custody time with the kids.”

How did the fight affect Britney? Because Jamie served as conservator over Britney the person, he was deemed unfit to care for her children while they were in her custody. Britney’s visits must be supervised, and he could no longer follow through responsibly. Thus, reducing Britney’s time with her sons.

Mr. Spears stepped down temporarily as the personal conservator, relinquishing control to someone of his choosing, a woman named Jodi Montgomery. Mr. Spears still serves as conservator over Britney’s finances.

A January 22 court hearing will decide the fate of Britney’s conservatorship. The judge will take into consideration court-mandated reports and mental health evaluations to decide if Britney can stand on her own legally yet or not.

Britney was spotted leaving a medical building last week.

The source says Britney is in a positive head space. “She has spent the last year prioritizing herself and her well-being, something she did not have a chance to do as much during her Las Vegas residency,” the source continued. “She has had less time with her sons but got really close with her mom, Lynne, and sister, Jamie Lynn, again recently.”

The insider added: “Britney spends most of her time at home with her boyfriend, Sam [Asghari], or alone. Her relationship with Sam is rock-solid. He brings her so much joy and is a source of stability in her often chaotic life.”

  1. How is it that she wants to fight for her sons but what about fighting for her freedom? The things that mothers do for their children. ❤

      1. Maybe it’s through her conservator – Lou. I mean, I’m sure Jamie is still kinda pulling some strings like he can influence or suggest things to Lou as he was the one who appointed her. And I think even though Jamie and Britney are not in good terms, if he hears that Britney wants more custody, he would support that by maybe talking to Lou to make that happen like with a lawyer. He’ll never accept his family getting the smaller end of the bargain. He would fight for atleast 50-50.

  2. The way this went down is sickening.
K Fed was a huge problem to begin with – he was just low key ****** up bc no one cared.
I feel like they’re always going to use her past against her and she’s locked into it.

The help that she needed should have been given to her at the time that she needed it- rather than dear old dad and everyone swooping in for all her money. Talk about snakes.
