At the start of The X Factor tapings, Britney caused a stir after walking off the set in the middle of auditions for a “bathroom break.” Manager Larry Rudolph responded to the press: “What is everyone’s problem? Everything is fine. Britney loves being on ‘X Factor.” But Britney’s finally opening up and reveals she was having a panic attack and needed a moment to herself.
“(I was) extremely nervous. I was having panic attack after panic attack,” Britney says in the new Elle issue.
Judge Simon Cowell adds: “On the first day, one hundred per cent she didn’t think she was going to be able to do this. It’s the Roman Colosseum – five thousand people booing if you say no. But I’m seeing this woman blossom week by week doing this. I think she’s going to be good for the show, and I think the show is going to be good for her.”
He fears Britney will be really upset when she finds out The Voice is now facing off against The X Factor one night.
“She’s going to be devastated because she’s put her heart and soul into this,” Simon tells TMZ.
“These guys have really got it in for us. It’s nothing short of dirty tricks.”
Cowell adds, “The reason they’ve done this is they don’t want people to see ‘X Factor’ because they’ve heard how good the series is. They don’t want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don’t want their audience to see Demi Lovato.”
As for Cowell, he says he’s not scared, adding, “I can’t bear it that the network is playing political games and playing with the audience.”
