Five years after it’s debut, Blackout finally reached platinum status, according to Billboard.

The darkness of Blackout eerily reflected the chaos in Britney’s personal life at that time, giving fans an artistic window into the wrath and heartbreak Britney experienced.

Rolling Stone then claimed it “may be the most influential pop album of the past five years,” which is just about how long it took to reach this iconic status.

Numbers aside, this album is pure pop genius, and fans can only be so lucky to experience a part two.

Congratulations Britney, as well as the fans that purchased this album; your taste in music is impeccable.
