She’s still the bad guy, duh

When main pop girls become of legal age, there’s inherent pressure to revamp their image. It’s the age old story where an innocent Disney star thrashes their good-girl persona for something sexier in the hopes they can maintain relevance in popular culture.

Billie Eilish recently turned 18-years-old, and because part of the Internet is vile, there was an expectation she’d shed her clothes cause legally she could. She’s got a message for those eagerly waiting.

Eilish posted a photo on Instagram in an interesting getup and captioned it:

“U mad i turned 18 & didn’t immediately take all my clothes off? booooooooohooooooooooooo.”

Eilish has since edited the caption to read: “one of the worst outfits ive ever put together.”

It’s unclear whey she changed it, but Eilish might’ve realized she brought more attention to the topic by mentioning it to her 46 million followers.

It’s Billie’s body, and if/when she chooses to show more, it’s her right.

“I know it would [be] a huge thing,” Eilish previously said of when she decides to spice things up. “I know people will say, ‘I’ve lost all respect for her.’”

She also commented on her body.

“The point is not: Hey, let’s go ****-shame all these girls for not dressing like Billie Eilish. It makes me mad. I have to wear a big shirt for you not to feel uncomfortable about my *****!”

She added: “I look good in it. I was born with f***ing *****, bro. I was born with DNA that was gonna give me big-*** *****. Someone with smaller ***** could wear a tank top, and I could put on that exact tank top and get ****-shamed because my ***** are big. That is stupid. It’s the same shirt.”

  1. Oh my god she really spilled!!! That last part, I can totally relate. There’s this place here i go to with like a rule about wearing shorts. If another girl wears short shorts, it’s alright. She gets a free pass cause she ain’t ****. But when I do, they tell me I’m not allowed to wear **** clothes and I’m like R U KIDDING ME? We’re literally wearing like the same length. It’s not my fault it looks good on me. 🙄

  2. I’ve been thinking about her body actually OK THAT SOUNDED WEIRD LET ME EXPLAIN. She always wears super baggy clothes, and I don’t know what her body looks like. And then I started asking myself question: do I HAVE to know what her body looks like?! No… But it’s also weird the fact that she clearly intentionally hides it… And then I read that comment she made about having (big) ***** and that wearing a simple t-shirt would make people say stupid stuff, like I’m doing right now basically. But at the same time, if you girls don’t openly talk about stuff like this as clearly as she did, then maybe I wouldn’t be able to think about it so thouroughly… Anyway, I hope she gets comfortable enough to feel free to wear whatever she wants. But honestly? People want to know (there’s a reason why SIA didn’t show or doesn’t show her face!), and her covering her body at such high point in her career will only make all eyes even more focused on her. I just hope she can navigate this the best possible way.

    1. I also had no idea what her body looks like. Like, i thought she’s like super skinny underneath but I saw a photo of her on Twitter wearing a tanktop and like oh okay she has big *****. Good for you, Billie. But like, no wonder she likes to cover up.
