BH Buzz: Zedd Infers One Direction Copied Him

■ Zedd is extremely brave to take on One Direction and their millions of fans today (Aug. 24) when he posted a video on Instagram comparing his song “True Colors (Empire State Building)” with 1D’s “Drag Me Down.” He finds a likeness to the words “all my life,” and we must admit it’s uncanny.

One Direction can’t take credit for the mishap this time, as they didn’t write “Drag Me Down,” however John Ryan, Julian Bunetta and Jamie Scott did, and we imagine they’ll receive a wave of Twitter hate as a result.

We have a feeling it’s just an odd coincidence, but they are awfully similar. Do you think Zedd has a right to be annoyed?

■ Christina Milian is in hot water for remarks she made defending boyfriend Lil Wayne on Instagram. Several users commented wondering why she’s dating Weezy, saying “No money in the world would make be bang him #whydoesshelikehim?????” Another said “He’s a f***ing ugly gremlin! She’s so thirsty for fame is why she is dating him! She’s a f***ing groupie!”

Milian caught wind of the harsh remarks and took a second to clap back, but in doing so sounds a bit silly and misinformed. According to screen caps posted on ATRL, the “Like Me” singer said, “Unless your Gay why you commenting on another man’s looks? But who knows maybe you are and that’s not your taste. Me on the other hand loves everything about him. Turn up. To each his or her own.”

Her comments imply that men can’t have opinions on other men unless they’re gay, which provides a narrow outlook on peoples’ sexuality. We do understand she’s on the defense, but it’s better to take the high road and keep the rebuttals offline, eh?

■ OMI’s “Cheerleader” lands at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a sixth week, pushing The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” to No. 2.

■ And finally, Iggy Azalea confirms she isn’t having any features on her upcoming record and is only participating in one in the foreseeable future, for Demi Lovato’s forthcoming album, because they’re besties.
