Carly Rae Jepsen covers Fleetwood Mac, Pitbull drops a new video and new music

■ A group of people offended by Beyonce’s “Formation” performance at the Super Bowl are organizing a boycott outside the NFL’s headquarters in New York next week because they feel the outfits and gestures attacked police. Her video for the song shared a likeness, showing scenes of Beyonce on top of a cop cruiser submerged under water and a boy dancing in front of a police squad. She’s seen major backlash, including former Mayor Rudy Giuliani who told CBS the day after her performance, “I think it was outrageous that she used it as a platform to attack police officers, who are the people who protect her and protect us.”

Chic’s Niles Rodgers is backing Beyonce up though, Tweeting several photos of him standing in formation outside the Panther 21 trial. He said, “I love @Beyonce song #formation. That’s me standing in #formation outside the NYC courthouse. I was 16 yrs old. Complex question. We were so optimistic back then. The world we have now is nothing like we imagined. And just for the record: @Beyonce is one of the nicest, well mannered persons I’ve ever met. Let alone being a mega artist.”
