BH Buzz: Lady Gaga Is A Hotel Owner In American Horror Story

It’s the weekend! Anyway.

American Horror Story: Hotel creator Ryan Murphy tells ET Lady Gaga is the hotel owner in the upcoming season and begins filming Monday.

“Her character’s name is Elizabeth. She owns the hotel, and she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode and plays out over the course of the season. She starts shooting on Monday.”

■ Taylor Swift did NOT appreciate people comparing her “Bad Blood” music video to Madonna’s “***** I’m Madonna” saying: “I felt so much resentment that they would take two women who made ambitious music videos and use that as a qualifying factor to comparing and contrasting them,” she said. “I hated that because Madonna and I have gotten along and been fans of each other and performed together, and I didn’t want to see that, and there was nothing I could do, and there’s nothing she could do, because that’s the way the world works right now.” [Billboard]

■ Rita Ora’s “Body On Me” music video with Chris Brown drops Aug. 21. “It’s probably one of the most intimate videos I’ve ever done, but it’s really exciting,” Ora told Capital FM. We’ll be the judge of that.

■ Hilary Duff appears to be done with promoting Breathe In. Breathe Out. era. She said in an interview this week, “It was a lot of fun. Let’s see where it goes now.” Ughhhh.

■ Prince is releasing his next album, HitNRun, exclusively on TIDAL on Sep. 7. He said in a statement, “After one meeting, it was obvious that Jay Z and the team he has assembled at TIDAL recognize and applaud the effort that real musicians put into their craft to achieve the very best they can at this pivotal time in the music industry. Secondly, TIDAL have honored us with a non-restrictive arrangement that once again allows us to continue making art in the fashion we’ve grown accustomed to and we’re extremely grateful for their generous support.” [NY Daily News]

■ One Direction received their fourth No. 1 with “Drag Me Down” this week! [Billboard]

■ Zayn Malik’s ex-fiance Perrie Edwards is now 1DAF, stating her favorite summer song is Drag Me Down – ouch! She also unfollowed him and deleted all their photographs together on social media. Meanwhile, a producer has reimagined One Direction’s You and I as a solo Zayn track, which Zayn approved of shortly after it was posted:

■ Matthew Koma released his new song titled “So F**kin’ Romantic”:

■ And finally, this bride/groom’s first dance is the best thing you’ll see all day. Instead of the traditional slow dance, the two bust out matching choreography to Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Sir Mix-a-lot and more.
