■ Jennifer Lopez is one of five women nominated in the Worst Actress category at the 2016 Razzie Awards for her role as Claire in The Boy Next Door.
In the movie, Lopez plays a high school teacher named Claire who finds herself lusting after one of her students amidst a separation form her husband. When she realizes she’s play with fire, Lopez backs off, only to realize the boy, played by Ryan Guzman, is obsessed with her.
The film performed fairly well at the box office, pulling in $52.4 million overall with a budget of only $4 million.
Lopez is nominated against Katherine Heigl (Home Sweet Hell), Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades Of Grey), Mila Kunis (Jupiter Ascending) and Gwyneth Paltrow (Mortdecai).
This isn’t her first time nominated, either. You may recall her 2003 bomb Gigli alongside Ben Affleck? It won Razzies in 2004 for Worst Picture, Worst Actress, Worst Screen Couple and Worst Screenplay.
Fantastic Four, Fifty Shades of Grey, Jupiter Ascending, Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 and Pixels were the Razzie’s least (most) favorite 2015 picks.
“Winners” will be announced at a ceremony scheduled for 8pm/PST on Feb. 27, the night before the Oscars. [Razzies]
