BH Buzz: Janet Jackson's "No Sleeep" Lands At No. 1 For A Fifth Week

■ Janet Jackson’s lead single “No Sleeep” off her Unbreakable record lands at No. 1 for a fifth week on the Adult R&B Songs, beating out The Weeknd who lands at No. 2. It’s the first time Jackson’s landed this accomplishment since her song “I Get Lonely” led the chart for five consecutive weeks in 1998. [Billboard]

■ Not even Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande’s massive fanbases could pull out a win for MTV’s Ryan Murphy-directed new series ‘Scream Queens,’ which premiered Tuesday night to a respectable 4 million people. The Muppets, however, championed in with nearly 9 million viewers for their debut on ABC.

In the episode, Jonas appeared shirtless for part (of course), and Ariana Grande live-Tweeted her own death (of course), but expect to see more of her throughout the series.

“She comes back I believe in episode 6 and maybe more,” Murphy said in a new interview. “She’s recurring definitely. Everyone thinks she’s gone but she’s not gone… I wouldn’t say ghost. Nothing you think is happening is happening on the show. You think some people are dead — they’re not dead.”

Jonas’ character is an in-the-closet psychopath. He says, “I can tell you that he is a part of the team of people involved in this master revenge plan. His history with it goes very, very deep.”
