Beyonce Celebrates One-Year Anniversary Of ‘Lemonade’ With The ‘Formation Scholars’ Program
Most superstars throw gargantuan hush-hush mansion parties to celebrate all sorts of nonsensical achievements, but not Beyonce. Her visual album Lemonade was released a year ago this week, so to honor the feat, the expecting pop star has announced the Formation Scholars program.
Four women pursuing education in creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies will receive the Formation Scholars award in 2017-2018. It aims to “encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”
The colleges participating include Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College. Read the full statement below:
