Is it 1999 again? Because The Backstreet Boys just unleashed an anthem with a slick, stylized video to match like it’s no big deal. I know I overuse the term “pop emergency,” but THIS IS A POP EMERGENCY!

The video is an eyegasm. When the guys aren’t killing the choreo, they’re showing love to the camera amidst a parade of flashing lights.

“The minute we heard this song we knew it was special,” says bandmate Kevin Richardson in a statement. “I geeked out over the piano and synths. When that groove drops on the second verse, COME ON. Great verse, hook and melodies. Just makes you wanna listen over and over again.”

The electro-synth bop, produced by Jamie Hartman and Stuart Crichton, is the pop music gem you didn’t know you needed.

“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” marks the first release for the group with RCA. Check it out below:
