Add Charlie Puth and Boyz II Men’s new song “If You Leave Me For Now” to your Netflix and Chill playlist.
Charlie Puth teams up with Boyz II Men for a new slow jam titled “If You Leave Me For Now.”
Puth’s new song is an apology of sorts. He revealed his album is getting delayed, but offered up one of the cuts as a peace offering.
“So I have good news and bad news,” he Tweeted fans. “The bad news is that I have to push the album release date. I’m producing this album all myself and with that comes a lot of work, and in my opinion, the album is not perfect yet. However, it will still come out this year, and soon.”
Well, alright. He goes on…
“But to make it up to all of you, here’s the good news,” Puth continued. “I’m putting out a song I did with Boys II Men tomorrow. And it’s probably one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. Love you guys and thank you for understanding.”
We understand, and the song will fit perfectly into your Netflix and Chill playlist this winter. You know what I’m talking about.
On it, Puth pleads with a lover to stay. “No, this is not goodbye, I swear that I’m gonna change / No, baby please don’t cry, it doesn’t have to end this way.”
Meanwhile, Boyz II Men’s warm vocals harmonize over Puth’s desperation. It might be cold outside, but this will definitely bring some heat.
