Ava Max to the rescue!
The rising singer has released a string of catchy songs since her meteoric success with “Sweet But Psycho,” and she’s got another potential hit on her hands with “Torn.”
On the disco-inspired song, Max contemplates the ups and downs of the relationship she’s in. “I can’t get enough, can’t take anymore / Oh no, right now baby I’m torn,” she croons. Max tapped producer Cirkut for the new tune – the two also collaborated together on “Psycho” and her other recent release, “So Am I.” Max also put forth dual singles, “Freaking Me Out” and “Blood, Sweat & Tears.”
“Love and hate are two of the strongest emotions we feel in relationships,” Max said in a statement, “‘Torn’ explores the struggle between them that everyone can relate to. I’m so excited to share my new single with the world! Keep your eyes peeled for the video coming soon…”
The video, directed by Joseph Kahn (Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do”) stars Ava as super hero on the quest to conquer love. The high-budget video is Ava’s best.
“Shooting the torn music video was a dream come true,” Max said. “I got to travel all over Milan as a superhero confronting my cheating husband. I want women to know all around the world that they have the power!”
