Bebe Rexha Confirms Her Song “Apple” Is Not Britney’s “Apple Pie” Demo

She confirmed during her new appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Bebe Rexha’s unreleased song “Apple” is definitely not “Apple Pie.”

UPDATE // JUNE 25:

Bebe Rexha puts this rumor to rest!

She confirmed during her new appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that her “Apple” demo (see below) is not Britney’s rumored new song, “Apple Pie.”

See what Exhale is saying about this!

Andy point-blank asks her about the report below and she says it’s false.

I just want to know… which one of your flawless readers works at Bravo and snuck this question in? You’re my hero.

EARLIER // JUNE 4:

Hey, guess what? No one knows what’s going on. Rumors are running rampant right now that Britney is releasing a new single. We are under the impression it is titled “Apple Pie” and that it drops June 21.

Queen B saw the BreatheHeavy buzz and took it upon herself to add fuel to the fire. She shared a couple of on-set photos of her and two backup dancers.

The princess of pop was clearly filming something, and it most certainly wasn’t a fragrance for Apple Fantasy (get ready for that though probably).

Look, we don’t know much about “Apple Pie” (there’s a rumor it’s actually titled “Apple Tree”), but perhaps this scrapped Bebe Rexha demo could give some valuable insight. Bebe shared her version of the song during a live stream on Instagram in June 2017.

It’s worth mentioning there are no references to pie in Bebe’s version, but she does sing about an apple tree.

See what Exhale is saying about this!

Check out a bit of the lyrics below:

Don’t let him hit it and quit it
If he hits it and quits it
You probably won’t see him no more, no more
And i hate to admit it, i hate to admit it
But i’ve been that girl once before
I ain’t to worry bout that

[Pre-Chorus]
East coast till I die
But the west coast I reside
And my momma told me right
She said just remember you’re the

[Chorus]
Apple at the top of the tree
Don’t give it away so easily
Don’t give it away so easily
One day he’ll climb up to get that
Apple at the top of the tree
Don’t give it away so easily
Don’t give it away so easily
One day he’ll climb up to that apple baby
That apple baby, that apple baby

I’d also like to point out that Britney sang a bit of Bebe’s “Me, Myself & I” during her performance of “Make Me” at the 2016 VMAs.

Buckle up, fam. I imagine there’ll be lots more rumors to come this week.
