Katy Perry and Rihanna are reportedly no longer besties, and the pop world is a sadder place because of it.

UPDATE // MAY 15:

Despite an alleged feud with one another, Rihanna and Katy Perry appear on the cover of Vogue Magazine’s Met Gala 2018 Special Edition.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. Rihanna’s face says it all.

Check out the cover, then revisit the original article, below:

EARLIER // MAY 11:

I know this is yet another instance of the media pitting two women against each other, but where there’s smoke… there’s fire, and it always seems like Katy’s surroundings are ablaze.

A couple days after, Taylor Swift posted a video of Katy’s literal olive branch and handwritten letter clearing the air (that reportedly pissed Katy off), a report from The Sun (I know) claims Katy and Rihanna have bad blood. It’s worth mentioning the two pop stars were pretty close at one point.

The tea? According to ~an insider~ at the Met Gala, awkwardness ensued when Rihanna, the event’s host that night, was asked to pose for a photo with Katy. The photo above is the result of that, and very clearly Rihanna’s facial expression says it all (lmaooo).

“Because Rihanna was chairing the Met Gala, she had to pose with a lot of the celebrity guests but it was really uncomfortable when she was asked to have the photo with Katy,” a source said.

They added: “Katy was upset about the whole situation because Rihanna was cold to her and she wasn’t invited to her after-party.”

Apparently, this battle has been going on for a minute. Last year, Rihanna was asked if she’d join the American Idol panel with Katy, and she responded: “I don’t know, it depends on how bored I am.”

Looks like Katy has to order another olive branch, am I right?
