It’s that time of year! No, not when I say my New Year’s resolution is going to be less cursing and more positivity – that’s next year! It’s the time that all the media outlets begin to name Britney #1 on their annual 2008 look-back lists! Let’s begin – I’ll speak slow and in small words so you can grasp the amazingness of all of this.
Allheadlinenews.com has named Britney’s hit single “Womanizer” as the “top song of 2008” according to a poll conducted on the site and voted by their readers!
quote:“The largest amount of votes went to one song who’s repetitive chorus might just be stuck in your head through 2009 as well. These are the Top 10 songs of 2008 as voted by AHN readers.
1. “Womanizer” – Britney Spears Blaring sirens kick off Britney’s dance/pop return which just might be her most infectious single yet. And for the record, she says “womanizer” about thirty-five times.”
The full list can be seen here.
Next up we have USAtoday’s Celeb Heat Index poll, which measures exposure in print and online entertainment news outlets. Britney took the #1 spot for another year!
quote:“Spears, who was No. 1 in 2007, took the top spot 11 weeks this year, the most of any celebrity. Among those weeks were highs and lows: Her most recent No. 1 ranking resulted from the Dec. 2 release of Circus, which also took the No. 1 spot in album sales in its first week out. She first appeared at No. 1 on the index in January, when she had two stints in psychiatric wards after displaying erratic behavior.”
That’s not the only Spears girl to make the list! Britney’s lil sis Jamie Lynn was awarded USA Today’s “hottest mom” award due to the incredible search load during Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy, which was indexed for 19 weeks straight.
But who could forget about the haters?! The Daily Star placed Britney at #4 on their most hated list of 2008, due to her “miming on X Factor.” Must suck to wake up and look in the mirror everyday and think to yourself: “I work at the Daily Star.” Haters to the left!
Congrats Britney on all your success in 2008! We love you and wish you all the best! Stay strong!
