Meghan Trainor’s debut LP, “Title,” is on track to sell pretty darn well.
I could only resist liking Meghan Trainor for so long before I found myself unconsciously humming “Lips Are Movin” and actually enjoying it. I didn’t want to be like everyone else, because you know what? Maybe I’m not all about that bass, bout that bass, no treble. But I can’t deny-ny-ny it anymore: Meghan Trainor’s legit and her music is catchy and ugh what has my life become.
According to early estimates from HDD, Meghan’s set to sell 175-200K while it sits pretty at #1 on iTunes. Chump change compared to the Taylor train, but to garner sales like that in January, a time of year infamous for low sales, for a breakout artist is worth a golf clap. Or that kind of clap rich people do with their middle and pointer fingers.
Now excuse me while I go bang my head against the wall. But first…
Stay tuned for an album review of “Title” coming sooner than later.
I’m all about that bass.
