Ally Brooke remembers to love herself in the “Perfect” music video.

Let’s not kid ourselves, the ladies of Fifth Harmony are testing the solo waters. Each remaining member is recording and releasing material outside of the group, and after seeing Camila Cabello ****** a Billboard Hot 100 and 200 No. 1 simultaneously, I think it’s safe to say there’s no turning back.

Ally Brooke is the latest to release a one-off single. She teamed up with Topic for an EDM-tinged anthem about brushing off the negative thoughts in your head that say you’re not good enough. Considering the industry pressure that surrounds Fifth Harmony, the theme is truly inspiring.

“There’s always gonna be somebody smarter,” Brooke sings over warbly electro synths and somber strings crafted by Topic. “Someone prettier who works a litte harder / Someone that who ain’t afraid to take it farther / And everytime I feel like I ain’t really worth it / Then you say I’m perfect / I know there’s always gonna be somebody better / Someone easier who’s got it all together / And everytime I feel like I ain’t really worth it / Then you say I’m perfect.”

The video is warm and fuzzy, and it’s got a surprise ending that you’re going to love.
