Listen to 30-seconds of her new song.
It was rumored Adele’s dropping her new album Nov. 20, and this sudden clip is a clear indicator she’s on track.
Out of the blue on Sunday (Oct. 18), Adele teased 30-seconds of her new song during commercial break on The X Factor UK. It’s a soulful and heartbreaking melody about the perils of love. The clip plays the lyrics affront a solid black background.
“Hello, it’s me / I was wondering / if after all these years / you’d like to meet me / To go over everything / They say that time’s supposed to heal ya / But I ain’t done much healing.”
After the spot aired, One Republic’s Ryan Tedder Tweeted Adele a smiley face.

Aside from a release date, which isn’t confirmed, we don’t know much about the forthcoming record from the “Rolling In The Deep” singer. Kelly Clarkson said she “heard [Adele] is doing something more country influenced with this next record,” but it’s not fur sure. We do know she’s recorded with Pharrell Williams, who says she’s in and out of the studio in record time because of mommy duties.
She’s kinda like, ‘OK, guys, I’m gonna open my diary for 20 minutes.’ So it’s like, OK, you have 20 minutes, or 32 minutes really then she gives it to you and closes it up and disappears, and she’s off with her beautiful boy and that’s what it’s all about.”
