Adele Is No. 1 For A Sixth Week In A Row

January 4, 2016 By Jordan Miller

We’re surprised ’25’ broke another set of records, said no one ever.

Adele dominates again this week.

No major artist will attempt to drop their record while Adele continues her reign on the Billboard 200. She lands at No. 1 for a sixth consecutive week this week, selling 363,000 equivalent album units, reports Billboard.

Since we love records, here’s the latest 25 feats:

    • It’s the first album to tally its first six weeks at No. 1 since Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream also claimed its first six weeks at No. 1 in 2009.
    • It’s the first set to spend at least five weeks in a row at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since the Frozen soundtrack notched eight straight frames at No. 1 in early 2014.
    • And, it’s the first album released since 2001 to sell more than 300,000 copies in each of its first six weeks on sale.
  • Top 10:
    1. Adele, 25
    2. Justin Bieber, Purpose (217,000)
    3. Twenty One Pilots, Blurryface (79,000)
    4. One Direction, Made In The A.M. (75,000)
