Rosie O’Donnell spilled the beans.

She told her audience at New York’s Paramount Theater that Gaga will play the character Fanny Brice, first made famous by Barbara Streisand in the original 1964 Broadway production and 1968 flick. It’s worth mentioning Streisand also starred in a remake of A Star Is Born.

Rosie will play the role of Fanny’s mother, Rose Brice.

It’s also worth mentioning in an interview with Variety, Gaga didn’t confirm her involvement with Funny Girl, but she did say it’s her dream to perform on Broadway.

“Check. I’d love that. That was my dream. I think I’ve seen “Rent” probably 30 times,” she said.

There’s literally nothing Gaga can’t do, and she’s proving it! Huge props to her for continually reaching new heights.
