5 Seconds of Summer Tell BreatheHeavy They Probably Scare Their Fans

December 9, 2014 By Jordan Miller

5 Seconds of Summer has a lot of fans. A lot of crazy, die hard fans.

And they’re completely cool with it! In fact, the band fears THEY are too much for fans to handle sometimes.

The band was one man down last night at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball in London on Monday – Michael Clifford lost his passport and was stranded in the US, while the others – Ashton Irwin, Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood continued onward to perform.

Regardless, they carried on to perform for their many crazed (in a good way) fans, telling BreatheHeavy.com:

“Fans tried to get into our car the other day. It’s scary for their safety rather than ours but if they want to come say hi in the car then I mean I whatever. They’re not scary, we are like, six foot [tall] Australians. We probably scare them sometimes more than they scare us. It’s cool people like our music that much.

We used to get marriage proposals a while back but recently we haven’t, maybe they have realized the commitment?!”

I’m sure they’re a few 5SOS chicks who’d love the opportunity still (and a handful of guys who am I kidding).
