Ex-One Direction star Zayn Malik is readying his first single for release next Friday.
After months of magazine interviews and endless hype, Zayn is finally releasing new music. The track, entitled "Pillow Talk" is dropping January 29, according to an announcement from his official Twitter page today.

With a title like "Pillow Talk" the subject matter of the track is hardly ambiguous and Malik confirmed to The Sunday Times today that it's about something "so pure, so dirty and raw", going on to say:
"Everybody has sex, and it's something people wanna hear about. It's part of everybody's life, a very BIG part of life! And you don't wanna sweep it under the carpet. It has to be talked about."
The announcement was met with a measure of hysteria on social media as Zayn's considerable fanbase took to Twitter to express their elation that Zayn's album campaign is finally underway. The as-of-yet untitled LP is slated for a March release, with many speculating that Malik will release the record on March 25th - a year to the day from his departure from One Direction. Brutal.
The English/Pakistani superstar will also appear on the UK's Graham Norton Show the day of the single's release to promote the track. There's no word yet on whether he'll be performing.
