Katy Perry, we hear you loud and clear.
Katy is describing her new era as "purposeful pop," and this supposed snippet from a new song off the album she teased on an Instagram story is a fine example of it.
"I won’t no, I won’t apologize," she chants sans music. "I will not, will not subscribe. Don’t ask me, ask me to normalize."

In a recent interview with Capital FM, Perry says she's "striving for more consciousness than ever" and is using the volatile social and political climate in America as inspiration. "After the election... I was kind of depressed and, you know, I definitely didn’t want to write a club banger,” she said. “I was like, ‘how are we writing a club banger when the world is on fire?’" Sounds like this new teaser is the aftermath.
