Sean Paul and Dua Lipa get lit in their new video.
Sean-da-Paul! may have celebrated his birthday yesterday but he's the one giving the gifts as he has shared the glamorous music video for his new single, "No Lie."
The track, which features British singer Dua Lipa, is a certified bop with a total earworm of a chorus, and certainly has a different sound from Paul's previous material.
As is the music industry in 2017, the artists hadn't actually met when the song was recorded but they performed it together at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball in December and filmed the video in the days after.
Sean Paul videos are - from memory - usually tropical affairs based mainly on beaches or in sweaty rooms in Jamaica but the Temperature dropped for this one, shot in London, to give fashion film realness.
Seriously, Dua Lipa looks like a model in every single shot!
"No Lie" is the first single to drop from the rapper's forthcoming seventh album, which he's been working on since signing with Island Records last June.
His feature on Sia's "Cheap Thrills" has earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at next month's ceremony, and his collaboration with Clean Bandit ("Rockabye") is spending its ninth(!) week at #1 in the UK.
It's not a bad time to be Sean Paul, is it?
Dua Lipa's self-titled debut album drops in February, featuring new song "Thinking 'Bout You."
