Charli XCX maintains her grunge pop appeal in the "Doing It" music video with Rita Ora.
At first I had no idea why Charli XCX enlisted the help of Rita Ora for her latest single, "Doing It," off her "Sucker" album, but seeing the two rally together amidst rainbow lights and hideous '80s inspired clothing, I get it. They share a girl power message, and us gay men love that.
The clip takes place at a low budget motel in B.F.E. where the two are seen posing seductively with one another sometimes at a phone booth, sometimes near a three-foot deep pool, sometimes at a ratchet gas station and sometimes on top of a mechanical bull.
But more importantly, Charli XCX takes the inspiration Britney Spears provides on the daily and inserts a choreographed dance scene towards the end. Why? We don't know, but we're here for it. Oh, and keep an eye out for the dudes in underwear wearing nipple tassels.
