Let Andy Grammer’s smooth sound carry you into the weekend.

Grammer struck gold with 2014’s triple platinum mega-hit “Honey, I’m Good” which earned him a Top 10 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and the singer-songwriter is hoping to bottle up the mad success with his latest release, “Fresh Eyes.” Grammer plopped a starry-eyed, neon-lit lyric video for the slow-tempoed jam online today (August 18).

Grammer tells BreatheHeavy.com the song was inspired from an amusing moment with his wife.

“I was on vacation with my wife and she got up from a nap with her hair everywhere and started singing Big Sean’s ‘I ain’t f’ing witchuuuuu’ and I was like, ‘I didn’t know I could love you this much,’ he explained. “In relationships that are long you still get these moments of intense appreciation.”

Of the creation process, Grammer said he wrote the track primarily on an electric guitar (“a sexy blue Fender strat” to be exact, and “it pulled out a different vibe and I love it.”

“I hope it makes them think of someone close to them that they have grown used to but are still madly in love with.”

Grammer is gearing up for a co-headlining tour alongside Gavin DeGraw beginning August 28 in Bethel, New York.

“This tour is gonna be a love fest,” Grammer continued, calling DeGraw “a super homie.”

“I’ve been on tour with him before and I would watch his set every night and just geek out about being on the road with one of my inspirations. I’m looking forward to connecting with the most incredible fans all across the country. I’m ready to party.”
