Adele and Justin Bieber continue to soar, while Simon Cowell may be in hot water.
Simon Cowell finds himself facing further scrutiny today as X Factor 2015 winner Louisa Johnson scores the lowest ever debut for an X Factor winner's single by quite some margin. Clocking in at number 9 on the Official UK Chart, Louisa's cover of Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" is the only winner's single not to debut in the top two. Moreover, every other winner's single has risen to number 1 at some point in its time on the chart and industry officials say it's extremely unlikely that Louisa will follow suit.
This comes after X Factor received its poorest ratings ever and calls for the show to be axed will undoubtedly get louder and louder with this latest piece of news. The X Factor UK has produced international talents like One Direction, Little Mix and Leona Lewis.
Unsurprisingly, it's better news for Adele, who, dissatisfied with breaking almost every other chart record imaginable, can now say that '25' is the fastest ever album to sell 2 million copies. Adele's having quite the day - it was revealed earlier that her tour sales have been astronomical, with 4 million people seeking tickets for just six shows in New York.
Justin Bieber has also broken UK records today. The reformed bad-boy is the first artist to maintain four weeks in both the number 1 and number 2 positions, with "Love Yourself" staying at number 1 and "Sorry" still in at number 2.
