Troye Sivan's emotionally gruelling new video is a stunning conclusion to his career breakthrough trilogy
Just a week after annnouncing his debut album, Troye Sivan has ended the trilogy that has helped make him famous, releasing the Talk Me Down music video just minutes ago.
The video is very dark and tackles the socially relevant issues of homophobia, heteronormativity and LGBTQIA suicide.

Speaking to The Advocate about the trilogy, Troye said:
“I think the most important thing to me at this point in my career is being able to be honest in my songwriting — and these songs are about boys. Hopefully these videos will be the most viewed thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
Sivan is blazing a trail for LGBTQIA+ pop stars by normalising their presence in mainstream pop culture and throwing a spotlight on tough issues LGBTQIA+ people encounter every day.
