UPDATE // MARCH 13:

Tinashe took the first step towards releasing her forthcoming LP Joyride, which has been delayed for well over a year. The record's lead single is titled "Flame" and drops March 16. As for when we can expect an album? Still no idea.

“It’s gonna come out when it comes out,” she told Rap-Up. “I’m just excited to continue to release new material. I have a lot of new music and I’m really excited about that.”

The site also cites several of the album's featured producers, including Metro Boomin (Tinashe’s “Ride Of Your Life,” Future, Drake, Kanye West, Big Sean), Tricky Stewart (Britney Spears’ “Me Against The Music,” Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” Justin Bieber’s “One Time”), The-Dream (Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam,” Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,”), Sir Nolan, Charlie Handsome, Boi-1da, and Lost Kings.

UPDATE // MARCH 9:

Our sneaking suspicion was spot on. According to Noise11, Tinashe's new single "Flame" drops March 16.

EARLIER // MARCH 8:

Tinashe is EXTREMELY AND HIGHLY UNDERRATED.

It needs to be written in capital letters. The 24-year-old singer-songwriter is on the cusp of becoming a household name, and that might happen when her forthcoming studio album Joyride drops... but when? Her loyal fanbase sticks by through the ups and downs in between releases, most of which are collaborations. In the last year, the "SuperLove" singer teamed up with Far East Movement for "Freal Love," DaVido on "How Long," KDA on "Just Say", a remix of Britney Spears's "Slumber Party,", Tinie Tempah's "Text From Your Ex" and Lost King's "Quit You." To keep the creative juices flowing, Tinashe dropped a mixtape titled Nightride, a prequel to Joyride, which is also EXTREMELY HIGHLY UNDERRATED. But where's the album? That's the million dollar question, and we may have answers soon.

Word on the street is the lead single off Joyride is titled "Flame" and will premiere in the coming weeks. BreatheHeavy checked with an industry insider who heard the song – they described it as "fuck your face drama pop" and "Katy Perry level big."

Below is a suspicious Tweet from Tinashe possibly describing "Flame," and two screen shots from her SnapChat of her at a meeting with iHeartRadio previewing new tunes. Note the fire emoji.

Why do we believe the song is dropping soon? Not only does she have a bunch of gigs lined up, including Wrestle Mania, the Kentucky Dirby, America's Next Top Model and an appearance on Empire, but the songstress confirmed herself the title will be revealed "within days."

She might still be deciding on which songs will make the album ("No Contest" is definitely in), but we need answers. We need "Flame."
