Queen of features.
Tinashe is no stranger to collaborations. In the last year, she's teamed up with with Chris Brown on "Player" (which she claims was forced by her label), Far East Movement on "Freal Love," DaVido on "How Long," KDA on "Just Say", a newly-recorded feature for a remix of Britney Spears's "Slumber Party," and most-recently, Tinie Tempah's "Text From Your Ex." She also has a song with Diplo / Major Lazer in the works, hopefully one with Ariana Grande, and reportedly penned a song titled "Weak" for Katy Perry's upcoming studio album.
Sure, her forthcoming album Joyride may never see the light of day at this point, but it's becoming clear that isn't impacting her career. Instead of guessing reasons for her sophomore delay (does Nightride count?), keep your eyes peeled for weekly features, including one she has with Lost Kings titled "Quit You" reportedly heading our way this Friday.
“Remind me once again why I’m repeating that we can’t be more than friends,” Tinashe sings over soaring '80s inspired production. “I’m protecting myself from the possibility that you could turn me down.”
This could definitely be my favorite release from Tinashe yet! Listen here:
