The xx are on the promo trail.
Five years after their sophomore LP, The xx released their long-awaited third LP "I See You" last Friday to rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
The British trio - made up of Jamie xx, Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft - performed the lead single "On Hold" and album cut "I Dare You" on Saturday Night Live back in November after the album announcement but have stayed pretty quiet since.
Until last night (Jan 17) when they performed two more cuts live for the first time, "Lips" and the incredible second single "Say Something Loving," on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
If you consider their first two albums as flower buds then "I See You" is the classic The xx sound in the spring, as the buds expand and open up to reveal warmer and more glistening colours.
Excuse the bad analogy and just listen to the album. Seriously, it's really great. (Spotify)
