The Weeknd debuted his hot music video for "Can't Feel My Face" via Apple Music.
It might be Tuesday, but 2015 feels like The Weeknd. Abel Tesfaye took music by storm when his song "Earned It" from the Fifty Shades of Grey movie soundtrack lit up the charts. Abel kept his name abuzz thanks to his visual for "The Hills" and powerhouse performances at the Much Music Video Awards, his Apple premiere and surprise appearance with Taylor Swift. But it's his Max Martin-produced hit that's taken the 25-year-old from soundtrack star to musical phenomenon. In fact, his climb to the top was in his hands the entire time. The NY Times reports Tesfaye refused pre-written tracks from Martin, who's concocted some of music's biggest hits, instead opting for organic creation through collaboration. Cue "Can't Feel My Face."
Apple Music premiered the stunning visual for "Can't Feel My Face" today (July 28) in promotion for his forthcoming record “Beauty Behind The Madness.” The video begins with a closeup shot of Weeknd before revealing him on stage singing affront a crowd at an underground jazz club. It appears the laid-back visual will bop along until completion, that is until everything goes up in flames.
