Publicist confirms Voice contestant tragically gunned down at Orlando concert.
Christina Grimmie competed on hit TV series The Voice in 2014 and was a support act for Selena Gomez.
Her YouTube channel, zeldaxlove64, has over 3 million subscribers.
Grimmie's publicist issued a statement to E! News:
"It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn't survive the gun shot wounds. We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning. If you'd like to give back to Christina's family in her memory, please consider donating to the families GoFundMe page in their time of need."
Grimmie was signing autographs after her Orlando concert today, when a man opened fire on her before taking his own life. CPR was performed on the scene and police confirmed the 22-year-old singer died in hospital.
