Mollie King is ready to break out on her own.
Unless you're UK-based you most likely won't be familiar with girl group The Saturdays who racked up 13 Top 10 hits, including their Sean Paul-assisted #1 single "What About Us".
Due to pregnancies and other things they are currently on an indefinite hiatus, however the band's resident Britney stan (yes, she's one of us) Mollie King is not sitting around waiting for the reunion.
The blonde beauty has premiered her debut solo single "Back To You", an electro-pop midtempo co-written with Rob Fusari, the man behind the bulk of Gaga's "The Fame".
Lyrically the song sees King reflect on an on-off relationship that she cannot resist revisiting no matter what's happened, questioning herself (and her man) "Why do I keep coming back to you?". Listen below:
Mollie was never the strongest vocalist of The Sats and while her delivery on "Back To You" is restrained and kept within her range, it is clear that she has improved during her time off.
All in all, it's a very good effort.
