The Killers dropped their first single in five years today.
It's a big week for The Killers. The Vegas-born band released a reflective new tune produced by Garret “Jacknife” Lee and Stuart Price titled "The Man."
A release says the track is about frontman Brandon Flowers “looking back on his younger self, the ‘Brandon Flowers’ persona from their Grammy-nominated debut Hot Fuss, and reconciling that wide-eyed character with the man he is now.”
The track is brimming with infectious hooks and a monstrous chorus and serves as the lead single off the group's forthcoming album Wonderful Wonderful. According to a press release, the album is “soon-to-be completed” and is “shaping up to be their most sonically forward-thinking record yet; an LP bursting with all of the blazing choruses and arena-filling anthems”.
The Killers will embark on a string of European festival shows later this month.
