Iggy Azalea has had a tough year. Her breakup with ex-fiancé Nick Young made for unfortunate tabloid fodder after he admittedly cheated on her with several girls, including his baby mama which is pregnant for a second time with Young's kid. Ugh...
Professionally, Azalea's career is unsettled as well. Her album Digital Distortion was rumored to drop this summer, but after her lead single "Team" failed to light up the charts, it appears her promotional plans are on hold. She has since collaboration with producer Zedd, so perhaps the pop star is holding off until then. In the mean time, Azalea is a featured judge on the upcoming season of The X Factor Australia.
Iggy is opening up to Notion about it all.
Here are some highlights:
On potential future plans
“I would still like to get into producing movies and television series, behind the scenes and will be doing that in the next one or two years.”
On being a strong person
“I’m tough and don’t like to be vulnerable even around my own mother.”
On how she is perceived in the music industry
”We can all see I get a lot more shit than other people in the music business, that’s not even debatable.”
On what the people say about her
“There isn’t anything awful left I haven’t heard said about me.”
