The Grammys just announced more performers for the Feb. 8 show and teased the Navy in the process.
Last week the first batch of performers for this year's Grammy Awards were announced as we found out that Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and pop's most important #rebelheart Madonna would be taking to the stage.
Earlier today the Recording Academy announced that Pharrell, Usher and Miranda Lambert will be joining them on the night alongside Common and John Legend, who will hit the stage to perform their Oscar-nominated collaboration, "Glory." Also, in exciting news for some(?), Sam Smith will make his Grammys debut with a performance from his nominated album "In The Lonely Hour."
Then things got interesting as the official Grammys account tweeted out a cryptic message that got the Navy screaming for their Rihydration.
So... a few anchors? What's so big about that? Well, the anchor emoji is one unofficially owned by Rihanna's die-hard Navy. So that's a thing. And if you count the number of anchors, how many is there? Eight. What has everybody been waiting 794 days for? R8.
We're just going to ignore the fact that the tweet confirming Sam Smith's performance were also finely decorated with the same anchor emojis and pray that it is finally time. After all, let's not forget that her drummer let the G word slip during rehearsals not too long ago.
Do you think Grammy night will be the grand Rihturn?
