The Chainsmokers have a brand new song out titled "Good Intentions."
Alex and Drew from The Chainsmokers, who rose to fame after their song "#Selfie" went viral last year, emailed BreatheHeavy their electro bass-thumping new song, "Good Intentions" featuring BullySongs, along with a message, and because we love when artists want to share their music directly with fans (and does us the favor on skipping the public relations rigmarole) we felt excited to pass this along:
"The song is all about people who set out with the best intentions, but end up with with the short end of the stick. The wonderful BullySongs from the UK wrote the topline... explained to us that this song is all about those times that you say to your lady or moms, 'I am just running to the store, I'll be back in an hour, and end up back at 5am.' That idea really resonated with us as trouble makers with hearts of gold. So this song is dedicated to all the screw ups, all the people out their who set out meaning well but somehow always end up messing it all up. Whether you're doing something illegal to make ends meet or botching a trust fall; it's an idea that hits close to home for everyone at some point.
We all set out to be good people for the most part but the reality is we all face tough decisions and this song is about those decisions. Please enjoy this retro feeling dance tune and may it get stuck in your head and all your followers."
Ahh, innocent irresponsibility finally gets a playful theme song! Give "Good Intentions" a listen:
The guys add they're stoked to play music festivals in the U.S., Europe and Asia this summer, but more importantly can't wait to release new music!
