Taylor Swift remembers her country roots with Keith Urban.
When Swift announced to the audience at night-one of her 1989 Tour at the Rogers Center in Toronto: “Someone absolutely incredible is about to come out on this stage,” the thousands of screaming fans had an idea she'd bring up country superstar Keith Urban to play his No. 1 country single “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” off his new album Fuse, as well as “Somebody Like You” from 2002's Golden Road.
Swift added, “This is someone who has sold 20 million records but, more importantly, is an amazing human being. I actually had opened up for his tour years ago,” she continued.
“He’s been so wonderful to me. He’s one of the most talented people who has ever been born.”
The "Wildest Dreams" singer is remembering the fond times she opened for Urban on his Escape Together World Tour in 2009, as well as collaborating with Tim McGraw on his No. 1 hit, “Highway Don’t Care,” in 2013.
