Taylor Swift revealed her much anticipated new song (it was, right?) and music video for the first single, "Shake It Off," from her upcoming album "1989."
Taylor debuted the song/video via a live stream atop New York's Empire State Building on Monday, followed by the album title announcement in front of a group of hand-picked fans.
"I have three big surprises for you today," she told the small audience.
The first was the song she co-wrote and produced with Max Martin and Shellback and its music video directed by Mark Romanek.
Then, she announced her "first documented, official pop album," called '1989.' "I really loved the chances they were taking. I loved how bold it was," she said. "It was, apparently, a time of limitless potential. … The idea of endless possibility was kind of a theme in the last year of my life."
The third being the album cover art.
