Solange shared a new documentary titled A Seat At The Table, Beginning Stages.
If Solange's resurgence seems abrupt, it's because she kept her new album A Seat At The Table under wraps, but that doesn't mean there wasn't years of hard work poured into it first. She's inviting fans to take a peek behind the curtain as she records several of the album's fan-favorite tracks, including “Mad,” “Don’t Touch My Hair,” and “Don’t You Wait,” and features brainstorming sessions with Sampha, Kwes, Chairlift’s Patrick Wimberly, and Solange’s son Julez.
The doc comes just in time for an updated predictions report, which claims Solange's new LP could take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Hits Daily Double asserts Table sold 43-48k in physical sales, which places her behind Bon Iver at 54-59k, but if you tally in Sales Plus Streaming, their figures are identical: between 57 and 62k.
