Sia's soaring new song “Angel By The Wings” will serve as the main soundtrack song for the upcoming documentary film, The Eagle Huntress.
Better yet, it's a “girl power anthem” set to debut on Jan. 24, reports Billboard.
The song is described as an “uplifting pop song” which “showcases Sia’s mesmerizing vocals, inspiring listeners to look up to the sky, before unleashing a powerful refrain of ‘You can do anything.’ These lyrics, apparently capture the lead character’s own “indomitable spirit and positive message of female empowerment.”
We're looking forward to the song considering the latest material we've heard from Sia in recent months are rejected tracks from artists like Adele and Rihanna.
“I'm incredibly grateful that Sia took the time to write and record this very special song,” said the film’s director, Otto Bell. “It's a wonderful vote of confidence for our documentary. I could not have imagined a more fitting, timeless piece of music for the film - it's such a beautiful girl power anthem!”
The Eagle Huntress follows the story of Aisholpan, "a 13-year old Mongolian girl who is striving to become the first female eagle hunter in 2,000 years of male dominated history."
Last year, Sia debuted a song titled "Bird Set Free" off her upcoming This Is Acting record. You caught the irony, right?
