Shakira's eleventh studio album will be magical.
Her musical absence has not gone unnoticed. The pop star recently leant her voice to Disney's massive animated film Zootopia, but now that the craze is settling down, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer is focusing on a followup to her 2014 self-titled album.
Shakira told reporters in November of last year she plans to record throughout 2016, and it appears she followed through.
"Once I start working on new music, which will be soon. I think by the end of this year, beginning of the next, I'll start working my new album in the studio, recording and producing new songs," she said. "I know I will be completely busy as the process of making an album is like a whirlwind that absorbs you."
On Friday (August 12), the Latin power house posted a photo of her with MAGIC! frontman Nasri Atweh and Grammy Award winning producer Supa Dups.
"Late night delirium in the studio with Nasri from @ournameisMAGIC and @SupaDups! Shak," she Tweeted 39 million followers.
