Selena Gomez’s Lyric Video For “Only You” Highlights The Best (And Worst) Of ’13 Reasons Why’

"Live and in stereo. No return engagements, no encore, and this time absolutely no requests."

Selena Gomez is an executive producer of Netflix's record breaking new show 13 Reasons Why. She also contributed a song for the series, a cover of Yazoo's 1982 hit "Only You." Her version transforms the original into a moody, melodic piece. Understandably so, because it's meant to soundtrack the lives of a group of devastated teens who are forced to face their wrongdoing to their classmate Hannah Baker (played by Australian actress Katherine Langford), who commits suicide after a series of traumatizing events pushes her passed the point of no return. The lyric video for "Only You" features memorable scenes from the show, highlighting the pain Hannah struggled with in her final weeks.

As it stands, the song hasn't landed on the Hot 100 yet, but with the critical acclaim the show is receiving (as well as expected backlash) and steady numbers on Spotify and YouTube, that could change. This lyric video should help.
