Even if you can't pronounce designer Monique Lhuillier's name, you've probably seen it in print recently. And if you pay attention to what celebrities are wearing, you've definitely seen her dresses.
Two Lhuillier wedding gowns made the pages of People magazine last fall. (Britney Spears wore Lhuillier for her second wedding of 2004, the one to Kevin Federline. Lhuillier, 33, also created the ruched gown that Kevin Costner's bride, Christine Baumgartner, wore for their widely photographed Aspen wedding.) That one-two pop-culture punch, combined with Lhuillier's red-carpet gowns for A-list stars, have given the designer a celebrity status of her own.
