The last time we heard from Grimes was August when she stopped her show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center mid-show because of a "disturbing" occurrence. The indie-pop star said she'd explain when it was "safely and legally" possible to do so, but never did. It seems like the troubles are behind her, because without warning, Grimes put forth seven new music videos today (Oct. 5), four of which are visuals for her 2015 pop opus Art Angels (“Butterfly,” “Belly Of The Beat,” “World Princess Part II” and “Scream”) and three for frequent collaborator HANA.
That's nice, considering she crushed our dreams of an Art Angels re-release.
“They are guerrilla style vids, a la realiti, so there was no crew, makeup, cameras, lights,” she explained in a post on Instagram. “Just us and a phone, so maybe don’t expect anything too fancy. That said, we’re really proud of what we made.”
They were shot over the course of two weeks during the European leg of her tour.

They do indeed look low budget, but there's something refreshing about an artist creating a storyline for their own career versus relying on the backing from a major label.
