Bond gets aesthetic in new Spectre music video.
Gone are the days of a flashy, womanizing James Bond flaunting his wealth and power in cheesy over the top spy movies.
Since Daniel Craig stepped up to play the legendary secret agent, James Bond has undergone a makeover of sorts, becoming more self aware and even showing sympathy and affection for the women around him.
So it makes sense that the latest music video representing the franchise – Sam Smith’s Writing’s On The Wall – is another demure, mature affair, focusing primarily on visually stunning location shots and moody close-ups of both Sam and Bond.
Filmed in Rome, Italy – where Spectre was also shot – the video is sure to grab the attention of the adult contemporary crowd Smith has come to represent since his 2014 album In The Lonely Hour stormed the charts.
