Sam is hard at work on his sophomore album, a followup to 2014's In the Lonely Hour, and it could feature the smooth sounds from Timbaland.
The two linked up in the recording studio together over the weekend. "It was a pleasure working this man," Tim wrote on Instagram.
If you don't already know, the producer is behind some of the biggest songs of the last two decades, including hits for Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Missy Elliott, Drake, OneRepublic, Keri Hilson and many more.
What could this mean for Sam? Well for starters he's linking up with a proven hitmaker. It also offers a little insight into the direction he's taking for SS2. Considering how low of a profile Sam has kept in the last year, this is big news.
